Pitch Deck Design | Pink Elephant Pictures

I designed this pitch deck for Pink Elephant Pictures, developing a visual language that directly reflects the story’s central themes of friendship, ambition, class disparity, risk, and gambling. The narrative follows two underprivileged college students whose attempt to escape poverty leads them from a high-class gambling party into the world of casinos, roulette, and high-stakes poker.

Rather than approaching the project as a conventional presentation, I designed the deck in the visual form of playing cards, allowing the presentation itself to become part of the storytelling experience. The vertical card format, suit symbols, patterned borders, aged textures, typography, and casino-inspired graphic elements were created to make the audience feel as though they are being dealt into the game as they move through the story, characters, and world.

The visual treatment also establishes a deliberate contrast between the two sides of the characters’ journey. Outside the casino, the deck references realistic imagery and muted colors to communicate the dullness and limitations of poverty, while inside the casino, the imagery becomes more dreamlike and heightened to capture the seductive fantasy of gambling.

Through the deck, I translated the screenplay’s narrative and emotional progression into a cohesive visual identity—using graphic design, imagery, composition, texture, and cinematic references to introduce the project’s world, characters, tone, and visual direction before the film itself is experienced.
